SSCF Initiatives
SSCF is a big platform for all those who have innate desire to feel the "Joy of Giving" serving to the Mankind and society and thus contribute towards CSR. Shri Subhasish Chakraborty Foundation has always believed working in various areas of humanity and its work varies from upliftment of poor to promoting education to helping victims of natural disasters. Some of the supported causes are;
- Eradicating extreme hunger and poverty
- Promotion of education
- Reducing child mortality and improving maternal health
- Combating human immunodeficiency virus, acquired immune deficiency syndrome, malaria and other diseases
- Ensuring environmental sustainability
- Employment enhancing vocational skills
- Eradication of Unemployment Initiatives
SSCF has identified that the key area to all the prevailing issues is ‘educating the society’ and thus, we have undertaken and supported various causes to educate the underprivileged children and help the needy ones. We have worked on various other models in order to raise funds and accordingly, utilize those funds.
The CSR initiatives of DTDC firmly believe that the protection of ‘Vasundhara’ (The Mother Earth) is its prime responsibility and therefore, we support global green revolution policy by taking various measures, which include: ‘adopt a tree’, making green and clean environment, building sewage systems in villages and remote areas etc.
Energy deprivation has proven to be one of the core causes of chronic poverty. Inhibiting people from the access to essential energy services, results in a vicious cycle; impacting human welfare, with the health of women and children being the most vulnerable. Therefore Therefore, expanding energy access to the rural folk is a key catalyst for economic and social growth. SSCF has consistently worked on improving the rural electricity issues.
Women empowerment will build a strong foundation of the future of the country and SSCF strongly believes and works in this direction. SSCF also encourages and provides equal opportunities to the women to make them self-dependent and hence making a better living for them. It also empowers maximum women with various employment opportunities, especially for the capable ones. SSCF has timely contributed to various causes and various groups along with its franchisees development program for women empowerment across the country to implement it in the most efficient manner.
